Joey was pursuing a promotion and a new opportunity with the movie theatre where he worked, and he transferred to a location nearly an hour away from his home (at a time when he didn’t even drive). Denice was searching for a new job after a string of jobs she hated, that left her frustrated and ready for change. Eventually Joey transferred again, and before he left he wrote goodbye cards for everyone on the team, including Denice.
